About:
We are a growing ceiling repair and insulation specialist serving the Perth metro area. We specialise in fixing sagging plasterboard ceilings using re-screwing and fibreglass strapping, combined with insulation replacement.
The Opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced subcontract plasterer to partner with us on our ceiling repair projects. You'll handle the plaster flushing, jointing, and sanding phase of our jobs, working alongside our team who complete the structural repair and insulation work.
Scope of Work:
- Flushing screw holes on newly re-screwed plasterboard ceilings (3-coat system)
- Re-flushing existing ceiling joints where damaged or cracked
- Patching minor holes, hairline cracks, and cornice touch-ups
- Sanding all plastered areas to a paint-ready standard
- Working in occupied residential homes with respect for the client's property
Typical Job Profile:
- Ceiling area: 100–250 m² per home
- Duration: 1–2 days of plaster work per job (over 2–3 site visits for coat drying)
- Location: Perth metro (predominantly Northern & Southern suburbs)
What You Bring:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in plasterboard flushing and finishing
- ABN registered and GST compliant
- Current Public Liability Insurance ($5M minimum, $10M preferred)
- Own tools, transport, and consumables
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional presentation when interacting with clients
- Australian working rights
Highly Regarded:
- White Card
- Working at Heights certification
- Experience with ceiling repair (not just new-build tape and set)
- Reference from a previous builder or ceiling contractor
- Familiarity with CSR Gyprock products
