10 Hoff Cafe is looking for an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead our team and help deliver outstanding customer experiences in the heart of Southbank. We are seeking someone passionate about hospitality, team leadership, and creating a welcoming café environment.
Position Details
- Role: Café Manager
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Location: Southbank, VIC 3006
- Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year + superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations and ensure smooth service
- Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house and café staff
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer feedback professionally
- Manage staff rosters, attendance, and performance
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering with suppliers
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards
- Assist in achieving sales targets and controlling labour and operational costs
- Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain efficient service
- Ensure the café presentation and atmosphere are consistently maintained to a high standard
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff members
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a Café Manager or hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for hospitality and customer service
- Experience with staff management and rostering
- Knowledge of food safety and café operations
- Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays if required
- Positive attitude and ability to motivate a team
Qualification
- Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience;
