About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Billing and Collections Officer – Private Practice to join our Patient Accounts team at Cabrini Health. The position requires a candidate who is self-motivated and who has had exposure to medical billing with Medicare, DVA and Private Health Funds. The successful candidate will also have a strong focus on customer service, with accurate billing skills and take pride and ownership in their work.
Your day will look a little like this:
Invoice processing, Billing and claiming for a variety of services
Following up outstanding Debt
Management of claim rejections
Reporting of aged debts and reporting doubtful debts.
Collaboration & Problem-Solving with internal and external stakeholders
Liaising with Medicare/DVA/WorkCover and the Private Health Funds
What we’re looking for
Relevant Medical Billing and debt collection
Accounts receivable experience in a health care setting
MS Office and WebPas
High level attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
