We're seeking a motivated and proactive Specification Consultant to join an established NSW sales team. This is a unique opportunity to combine architectural specification consulting with the exciting challenge of building distributor network relationships across a diverse product range.
The Role Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring products are specified at the design stage and carried through to delivery.
You'll be out in the field, meeting architects, designers, builders, and contractors, while also developing distributor partnerships to expand market reach.
This is not a traditional BDM or tender-based sales role — it's about consulting, influencing, and building long-term specification wins.

Key Responsibilities
Specification Consulting - Work closely with architects, designers, and builders to ensure products are specified into projects.
Distributor Network Development - Build and maintain strong distributor relationships, opening new retail and commercial channels.
Client Engagement - Deliver technical presentations, "lunch & learn" sessions, and attend trade shows to showcase the product range.
Pipeline Management - Use CRM tools to track opportunities, provide updates, and ensure long-term project wins.
Collaboration - Work closely with marketing and design teams to boost product visibility and preference among specifiers.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in specification consulting or the architectural/building industry.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage architects and run group sessions.
- A self-starter who enjoys networking and identifying new opportunities.
- Charisma, professionalism, and a proactive attitude.
- The ability to build long-term relationships and represent a premium Australian-made product range.
- A current driver's licence and access to a modern, reliable vehicle.
