About the role
Say Sushi is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team in South Ripley, QLD. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our food offerings, contributing directly to the sushi dining and take away experience we provide to our customers. You will work collaboratively with our kitchen team to prepare delicious meals that reflect Say Sushi's commitment to excellence and culinary innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Proven experience working as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role within the hospitality industry
- A minimum of 1-2 years of cooking experience is required for this position
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary best practices
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for quality food preparation and continuous improvement
- Experience with Japanese cuisine is preferred but not essential for this role
- Valid work visa or legal work rights in Australia are required
