Based in Wemen Victoria, Redgold Pty Ltd is a significant horticulture company that a range of vegetable and salad products. Redgold Pty Ltd is seeking a full time qualified Agriculture Technician.
Salary offered is $79,499pa plus super.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Driving technical programs relating to produce health to ensure contractual standards and output are met.
· Working with our farm managers and agronomists to assess soil characteristics of Red Gold sites to determine its most effective use and identify nutrient deficiencies.
· Identifying pathogenic microorganisms and insects, fungi and weeds harmful to crop and assisting in devising methods of control.
· Collecting, analysing and interpreting data samples of plant and soil affecting production to assist in decision making for site nutrition and pest/disease management.
· Providing advice, training and technical support and services on technology solutions for our on-site agronomy and quality assurance laboratory.
· Advising farm managers on pathogen management, pest reduction and nutrition management.
· Ensuring a high level of compliance with Health and Safety requirements at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
· AQF associate degree, advanced diploma or diploma in a related field OR least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
· At least one (1) year of full-time work experience (at least 38 hours per week) as an Agricultural Technician.
· Excellent communication skills and time management skills

· Health and safety awareness
