Salary range: $5258.70 to $6079.80 p.f. (L4-L9)

About your opportunity:
The Paediatric Surgery registrar will be working as part of a small team in paediatric surgery at The Townsville Hospital. We have a long-established paediatric surgery unit in regional Queensland, we provide cover to the whole of North Queensland accepting patients from the Torres Strait down to South of Mackay. We offer the opportunity to gain experience in the full range of paediatric surgical specialities, including neonatal paediatric surgery, paediatric burns and the management of critically ill paediatric surgical patients.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Interest in paediatric surgery and commitment shown to this career choice.
Proven ability to work well within the MDT.
Previous relevant experience in dealing with critically unwell children including neonates.
Previous experience in relevant surgical disciplines.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable)
Possession of class C drivers' licence.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
Probation period may apply.
