About the Role
As an Employment Support Worker, you will guide and mentor employees with disability while they complete gardening, cleaning, and maintenance tasks. This is a hands-on, team-based role where you will provide practical assistance, supervision, and encouragement to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You will work closely with a supportive team and provide one-on-one and small group assistance in an inclusive environment, to empower individuals and celebrate their achievements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employees to complete gardening, cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for daily work
- Ensure safety procedures and workplace policies are followed
- Assist Supported employees to develop work skills and maintain quality standards
- Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture
About You
You are patient, reliable and passionate about supporting NDIS participants of all abilities to achieve their employment goals.
You will have:
- Certificate III in Community Services or relevant experience
- Current Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
- Working with Children Check (essential)
- Experience working with people with disability or in practical/hands-on roles (desirable)
- A genuine interest in working with people of all abilities
- Strong communication skills, patience, and reliability
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
