Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially oriented, relationship-driven Business Director to be the strategic anchor for Aceik’s most complex enterprise client partnerships; the trusted advisor to CMOs, CDOs, and tech leaders, helping them maximise their investment in premium digital experience platforms such as Sitecore. This role is integral to driving agency growth through disciplined pipeline management, exceptional client relationships, and strategic leadership across business development and account portfolios.
The Business Director will serve as a key partner to the CEO and leadership team, bridging the gap between new client acquisition and long-term account growth. This individual brings end-to-end visibility and momentum across the business pipeline while developing and deepening key account relationships.
The role is highly collaborative and central to shaping the agency’s business strategy and growth operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management
- Play a leading role in relationship management across existing clients and strategic accounts, alongside CEO and leadership team.
- Work alongside support leads to manage and grow support agreement clients, ensuring consistent communication, delivery coordination, and account satisfaction.
- Attend and support client meetings and strategic reviews, particularly alongside delivery and strategy leads.
- Help identify opportunities to grow existing accounts (e.g. additional initiatives or services), in collaboration with CEO, support leads and leadership team.
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure high-quality, timely responses to ongoing client needs.
- Lead and guide the Growth & Account Management Associate in supporting account administration, reporting, communication, and delivery coordination.
Business Development Leadership
- Own the coordination, tracking and day‑to‑day management of the full business development pipeline, including all stages from lead generation through proposal, commercial development, and contracting.
- Maintain complete visibility across all open opportunities, ensuring clarity and alignment between leadership, strategy, and delivery teams.
- Lead the coordination, development, and submission of high-quality RFP responses proposals, and pitch materials in collaboration with the CEO and leadership team.
- Track and report on pipeline health, progression, and conversion metrics to inform resourcing and planning.
- Lead or support early-stage relationship development with prospective clients, ensuring consistent and high-quality communication from first touch to engagement.
Commercial Development
- Collaborate with leadership on the creation and refinement of Statements of Work, pricing, proposals, and final contract documentation.
- Maintain operational discipline across commercial processes, including drafting, internal reviews, client coordination, and version control.
- Ensure commercial consistency across opportunities and accounts, reducing risk and supporting margin clarity.
- Oversee and direct the Growth & Account Management Associate in assembling proposal components, commercial templates, and client materials as required.
Leadership Collaboration
- Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team by taking ownership of new business coordination and account growth.
- Provide feedback loops between pipeline health, delivery capacity, opportunity identification and growth planning.
- Act as the connective tissue between new opportunity acquisition and long-term account development.
- Lead by example in client relationships, operational discipline, and commercial clarity.
Strategic Project Oversight
- Lead and manage smaller-scale strategic projects and non-major client initiatives such as marketing optimisations, content development, communications rollouts, and cross-functional planning activities.
- Scope project requirements, establish objectives and timelines, and manage stakeholders through to delivery.
- Collaborate with internal specialists to ensure on-time execution and alignment with broader agency goals.
- Ensure consistent documentation, status reporting, and communication across all assigned initiatives.

Requirements & Experience
Agency Pedigree: 5+ years of account management experience within a digital, technical, or specialised enterprise agency environment.
Tech-Fluent: While you don’t write code, you comfortably speak the language of enterprise DXPs, composable marketing stacks, personalisation strategies, and API integrations.
Consultative Approach: Proven ability to run discovery workshops, unpack a client’s “true needs” (asking the Who, Why, What, and When), and turn vague briefs into concrete strategic roadmaps.
