The Role
The Technical Trainer is responsible for building and enhancing the technical capability of Recoveries & Settlements consultants and leaders through the design and delivery of high quality training programs.
You will play a critical part in ensuring team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to perform effectively from day one and continue to grow throughout their careers.
Key Accountabilities

Training Delivery: Design and deliver effective onboarding programs and ongoing technical training for Recoveries & Settlements consultants and leaders. You will use a variety of methods to accommodate different learning styles and partner with the Technical Capability Manager to identify capability needs and drive improvements in training design and delivery.

Content and Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain training materials to ensure they remain current, accurate, and aligned to the latest processes, legislation, and business requirements. You will identify and address content gaps and work with the Training Coordinator to ensure smooth delivery logistics.

Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using assessment results, performance data, and stakeholder feedback to continually improve training content and delivery in line with business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Recoveries & Settlements leaders and consultants to ensure training is relevant and well supported. Communicate proactively with the Technical Capability Manager on training progress, capability needs, and any risks identified.

Governance and Compliance: Ensure all training content reflects current legislative requirements and aligns with compliance and business risk policies.
What experience you’ll bring
-
Minimum two years of experience in a training, learning and development, or technical capability role within an insurance or financial services environment, preferably within motor claims.

Demonstrated experience facilitating training sessions, workshops, or group learning activities for audiences of varying sizes and experience levels, with the ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Demonstrated experience designing and delivering onboarding and ongoing training programs that demonstrate improvement in participant knowledge and performance.

Experience developing training materials and resources that support a range of learning styles and are adaptable across different delivery formats.

Experience operating across multiple sites or delivering training to geographically dispersed teams (desirable).

A relevant qualification in training and assessment, or a related field, such as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (desirable).

Previous experience within a Recoveries & Settlements role, with a strong working knowledge of insurance, recoveries, settlements, and claims management relative to applicable legislation, processes, and industry best practices (highly desirable).
