Job description:
Our client, ERINFAIR PTY LTD T/AS Bunbury Farmers Market, is currently seeking experienced Chefs and Cooks to join their kitchen team at two locations: Glen Iris (Bunbury Farmers Markets) and Vasse (Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of food preparation and production in the kitchen whilst taking direction from the Head Chef to ensure smooth operation of all kitchen duties.
- Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of service.
- Liaising with Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Assistants to achieve smooth delivery of food to guests.
- Operation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service.
- Work with the Head Chef to advance and improve current food operations.
- Has understanding of stock control and works together with the kitchen team to minimize wastage.
- Compliance and understanding of food safety policy and procedures (HACCP)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous commercial kitchen experience is required for these roles.
- All relevant experience will be considered. For applicants with a relevant Australian trade certificate or qualification / training, less experience will also be considered.
- A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude and ability to work well in a team.
- The ability to excel under pressure in a high-volume environment with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Well developed communication and team skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on consistency.
Salary:
- The Annual Salary is $75,000 - $80,000 commensurate to qualifications, skills, & experience.
