Melbourne Party Hire Co is a fast-growing event hire business servicing Melbourne 7 days a week. Based in Oakleigh VIC, we supply a wide range of equipment — from chairs, tables, and marquees to glow furniture, lighting, and staging — for events of all sizes across Melbourne.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organised Warehouse Administrator to join our team and play a key role in keeping our hire operation running smoothly.
About the Role
As our Warehouse Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the administrative and coordination functions of our warehouse — from processing stock requisitions and purchase orders, to maintaining accurate inventory records and preparing delivery schedules. This is a critical support role within our operations team.
Key Responsibilities
· Process requisitions of supplies from stock and send purchase orders to suppliers
· Confirm that orders are complete and comply with specifications
· Receive and check purchase requests against inventory records and stock on hand
· Examine order requirements and summarise data for production and event schedules
· Check inventories and prepare delivery schedules
· Record incoming and outgoing stocks and ensure they tally with physical counts
· Count incoming stocks and reconcile them with requisitions
· Update inventory and stock location records
· Coordinate operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, and shipping goods and services
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications (Required):
· Minimum Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, Logistics, or a related field (ANZSCO Skill Level 4 — or equivalent AQF qualification)
· At least 1 year of relevant warehousing or inventory administration experience
Skills & Attributes:
· Strong attention to detail — accuracy in stock counts, records, and order checking is essential
· Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Competent with inventory or warehouse management systems (Hirepos experience is a plus, not essential)
· Clear communicator who can coordinate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and the office team
· Current driver’s licence required
