We at Castlemaine Support Services provide NDIS services in the Castlemaine and Bendigo region, and are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support that empowers people to live independently and achieve their goals.
We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced NDIS Support Workers to join our growing team across the Castlemaine and Bendigo region.
About the Role
As a NDIS Support Worker, you will provide individualised support to participants in their homes and the community, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion. You will work closely with participants to help them achieve their goals while delivering safe, professional, and high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Support participants with community access, appointments, and social outings.
- Assist with domestic tasks, meal preparation, and household duties.
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with organisational policies.
- Support participants to achieve their NDIS goals and promote independence.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
- Follow individual support plans and risk management strategies.
- Build positive relationships with participants, families, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain participant confidentiality and uphold participant rights at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable, fully insured vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Desirable
Experience supporting participants with:
- Mental health
- Psychosocial disabilities
- Intellectual disabilities
- Physical disabilities
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- High-intensity supports
- Experience using electronic care management systems.
- Must be extremely reliable and have the ability be contacted to fill shifts at short notice
