About the Role
This position will work closely with the Coordinator Children Youth & Family Services to support the management of the Manningham Youth Services contract. This includes working in close collaboration with Manningham Youth Services, located at My Hub . This role will also be integral to internal advocacy and collaborations; support secretariat functions for Manningham Youth Advisory Committee (MYAC); and key to consultation, targeted engagement initiatives and partnerships to develop and implement youth focussed opportunities.The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local schools and community organisations.
Skills and Experience
- Strong flexible communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team using effective interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to demonstrate cultural competency together with diversity and inclusion awareness.
- Tertiary qualifications in youth development, health, social services or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in youth development, specialising in youth hub operations and youth engagement initiatives, preferably in a local government context.
- Relevant experience in stakeholder management with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Someone who cares about the safety of children and young people and understands your role in upholding that every day.
