About the Role
This is a maximum term opportunity through to 30 April 2027, with an ideal immediate start, offering the chance to step into a high-impact role within BOQ Group’s Internal Audit team in Group Finance.
As an Audit Manager, you’ll do more than deliver audits—you’ll play a key role in strengthening how the Bank manages risk, navigates change and makes decisions. Working closely with senior audit leadership, you’ll provide independent, objective assurance while bringing fresh thinking and perspective to how we assess risk and controls across the business.
You’ll lead end-to-end audits across your portfolio, from shaping risk assessments and identifying priority areas, through to delivering insightful, evidence-based reporting. Along the way, you’ll engage with senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and influence outcomes that matter. You’ll also collaborate with external audit partners and contribute to the continuous evolution of the audit function.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is evolving—where your ideas, energy and perspective will be valued, and where you can genuinely contribute to how audit is delivered into the future.
About You
You bring experience in internal audit, risk management or assurance within a complex, regulated environment, along with a genuine curiosity about how businesses operate and how controls can be strengthened.
You think critically and commercially, with the ability to cut through complexity, focus on what matters and deliver clear, well-reasoned insights. You’re confident applying audit methodology and interpreting regulatory requirements, but equally comfortable challenging the status quo and suggesting better ways of doing things.
Strong communication comes naturally to you—you know how to engage, influence and build credibility with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders. You’re collaborative, adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity, with the drive to see things through and make an impact.
A background in banking or financial services, or transferable experience from a similarly regulated environment, will set you up for success, alongside relevant qualifications in audit, accounting, risk or a related discipline. Most importantly, you bring a fresh perspective, a proactive mindset and a desire to be part of a team that’s continuing to grow, modernise and improve.
