About the Role
DBCEC (WA) Pty Ltd is civil earthmoving and construction company specialising in subdivision development, earth dam design and development, sand and gravel supply and plant hire. We are a family-owned business based in Donnybrook. We are seeking a highly skilled Excavator Operatorto join our team for high-profile, complex civil construction projects throughout the South West. This role is critical to our operations, specifically focusing on precision excavation for underground infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Primary operation of heavy excavators to dig trenches for sewer and stormwater drainage systems.
- Excavating around existing underground services with a high degree of accuracy and safety.
- Using various excavator attachments to level ground, slope banks, and prepare sites for civil infrastructure.
- Conducting daily pre-start checks and maintaining a strong safety mindset on-site.
- Excavator operations for civil construction activities
Skillset and experience required
- Minimum of 10 years’ specialised experience in drainage and sewer excavation using heavy excavators.
- Excavator experience is mandatory
- Current Construction Induction (White/Blue Card) and a valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Must be able to pass a Pre-employment Medical (PEM) and Drug & Alcohol Screen (DAS).
- Punctual, reliable, and capable of working autonomously or as part of a technical team
- Operation of mobile plant equipment
- Operating machinery to a high standard of safety
- Working as part of a well-organised, experienced civil crew
