About the Company
An international freight forwarding company offering a comprehensive range of services designed to meet every client’s needs. Trusted by both large and small organisations, they deliver customised solutions that adapt to any requirement, ensuring reliability and excellence every step of the way.
About Your New Role- Customer Service Executive
- Handle inbound quote requests from our forwarder client base across air and sea, import and export.
- Apply current rate schedules and sell-rate matrices accurately and get responses out the same day.
- Keep CargoWise up to date — every quote logged with the right product type and client details.
- Process new bookings in CargoWise accurately and completely at point of creation.
- Work with the air and sea ops teams to make sure confirmed bookings get moving without delay.
- Keep an eye on open jobs — flag anything stalled, missing docs, or heading toward a billing issue before it becomes a problem for the client.
- Answer client calls and emails promptly and professionally. These are experienced freight forwarders — they appreciate knowing they're talking to someone who's across it.
- Back your teammates up. If someone's getting swamped, you pitch in. That's how a three-person team works.
- Bring issues to your manager early. A quick heads-up is always easier to deal with than a late escalation.
What you will need to succeed
- 2-3 years in a freight forwarding role, covering both modes is preferable
- Customer Service Executive experience
- Experience in a wholesale or forwarder-to-forwarder environment.
- Exposure to both air and sea freight products.
- CargoWise experience. You don't need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable creating jobs and keeping records current.
- Clear written communication. Clients need to be able to read your emails and know exactly where they stand.
- Good at staying organised when things are busy. This role handles large volumes — a reliable personal system matters more than raw speed.
- Someone who genuinely likes working as part of a team and doesn't mind switching every fortnight.
