What does the job look like?
Join Linfox as a Distribution Centre Manager, responsible for leading safe, efficient and cost-effective warehouse and storage operations. You will oversee customer service, commercial performance, people leadership, quality, food safety and continuous improvement across the distribution centre. Key areas:
Lead warehouse operations across receiving, storage, picking and dispatch to meet safety, service and customer expectations.
Manage distribution centre performance, including P&L accountability, budgets, resources, capital planning and operational reporting.
Drive continuous improvement through updated warehouse procedures, process innovation and effective equipment utilisation.
Build strong partnerships with customers, employees, unions, contractors and other key stakeholders.
Develop leadership capability through coaching, mentoring, succession planning and goal alignment.
Maintain compliance with safety, quality, HACCP, food safety and legislative requirements.
Are you the one?
You are an experienced logistics leader with a strong background in third-party logistics, warehouse operations, customer management and team leadership. You bring commercial awareness, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to deliver reliable operational outcomes. You can demonstrate:
Several years of experience delivering third-party logistics services.
Experience leading and supervising employees within an operational environment.
Accountability for operational and financial performance, including reporting to senior managers and clients.
Knowledge of workplace legislation, OH&S requirements, duty of care and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
Experience supporting workplace disciplinary processes, industrial relations, diversity and positive workplace culture.
