Primary objective
Provide project assistance and administration services for the International and Higher Education team in the areas of
international education operations and policy, international partnerships, and higher education operations and policy.
Context statement
The International and Higher Education team is part of the Strategic Policy area which is responsible for developing,
implementing and reporting on strategic policy, including supporting good governance across the agency. It is also
responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with the Australian Government and other Northern
Territory Government departments and for overseeing resource management to ensure alignment with strategic reform
objectives
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide program, budget, financial management, procurement, grants and human resources support across the work
unit.
2. Contribute to administration and event management for inbound and outbound international delegations.
3. International student fee invoicing, debt and records management as well as managing queries from international
families and schools, particularly via phone and email.
4. Support policy and guideline research and development across the work unit.
5. Maintain administration and communications systems, registers, processes, templates and record management ensuring
effective and efficient workflows across the work unit.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in business systems and processes including finance, data management, travel and
procurement.
2. Experience in financial management systems relating to invoicing and debt management.
3. Sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt workloads to meet deadlines and client requirements
whilst working independently.
4. High-level oral and written English skills to communicate effectively across the organisation and with external
stakeholders particularly with customers from diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. Experience with Microsoft excel including advanced formulas.
