A-Grade Electrician — Benelec Services
Melbourne | Full-time | Brooklyn & St Kilda based

We get it. You've done your time pulling cable on big sites, getting bossed around by foremen who don't know your name, doing the same job day in, day out. You're an A-grade sparky now — you deserve better than that.
Benelec is a tight-knit Melbourne crew doing the kind of varied, interesting work that keeps you switched on. One day you're wiring up a new build in the inner west, next you're installing a 20kW solar system on a commercial roof, then you're back-of-house at a festival running temporary power for a stage. No two weeks look the same.
We're growing fast, but we're keeping it real. You'll know everyone's name. You'll know everyone's coffee order. And when something goes sideways on a job, you'll have a team that actually backs you in.
What you'll be doing
- Residential service work, renovations, and new builds across Melbourne
- Commercial fit-outs, maintenance, and switchboard upgrades
- Solar PV and battery installations (we're SAA accredited and growing this side of the business hard)
- EV charger installs — residential and commercial
- Strata and Owners Corporation work across our portfolio
- Property management call-outs (the variety pack — could be anything)
- Festival and event electrical work when the season's on (genuinely fun jobs, late nights, great stories)
What we're looking for
- A-grade electrical licence (Victoria) — non-negotiable
- Full driver's licence
- Minimum 2 years post-licence experience, ideally across resi and commercial
- Solar and EV experience is a big plus (not essential — we'll train the right person)
- Someone who can talk to customers like a human being, not just a tradie
- A safety-first mindset (we run a proper SMS, not a paper exercise)
- Pride in your work — if you cut corners, we're not for you
