About the role
The Senior Commercial Manager – Projects & Third-Party Agreements provides commercial oversight and contract management for projects and third-party agreements across the Victorian rail network. The role offers expert advice on complex contractual matters, supports major project outcomes, and works closely with rail operators and stakeholders to identify, manage, and resolve commercial risks and issues.
This role leads stakeholder engagement, supports negotiations, ensures contractual compliance, monitors deliverables and payments, and provides timely reporting and advice for senior decision-makers. It also drives continuous improvement initiatives, promotes value-for-money outcomes, and contributes to a safe, inclusive, and collaborative team environment. Other duties may be assigned in line with organisational requirements.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
-
Extensive experience managing complex multi-party commercial contracts and providing contractual advice within complex operational and/or project environments (mandatory).

A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, engineering, law, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience in the transport industry and/or major construction projects.
