An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced finance professional to join one of NSW’s largest healthcare facilities as a Finance Business Partner. The ideal candidate will bring NSW Health or public sector finance experience, strong accounting expertise, and demonstrated business partnering capabilities.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, Westmead Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a clinical portfolio across all aspects of financial management, analysis, and strategic business partnering.

What you'll be doing
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and driving performance across your portfolio. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will translate financial data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making and operational excellence.
- Partner with divisional and departmental leaders to provide financial advice and strategic guidance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned to organisational priorities
- Analyse revenue, expenditure, and workforce trends to identify risks, opportunities, and improvements
- Deliver clear, actionable reporting and insights on financial performance, cost drivers, and variances
- Coach and support non-finance leaders to build capability in interpreting financial information and driving accountability

Selection Criteria:
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business or accounting or extensive equivalent work experience.
2. Demonstrated evidence of experience in financial or business management.
3. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills that support the primary business function of a large organisation.
4. Demonstrated high level analytical skills using financial, statistical, human resources and management data systems to pro-actively improve business performance.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, marketing and customer service skills applicable in both a technical and business context.
6. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in using financial computer systems such as Oracle as well as high level computer skills in PC based applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
7. Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills, proven ability to meet deadlines.
8. Ability to work both within and team environment and independently.
