What you'll be up to:
As Group Business Director – Direct, you are responsible for driving sales performance, achieving team and personal KPIs, and growing market share through quarterly targets. The role focuses on maximising revenue from new and existing clients, overseeing proactive team workflows, and ensuring consistent income growth and exceptional client service. Key duties include building strong client relationships, expanding revenue across QMS Media’s full product suite, delivering monthly and quarterly budget targets, and providing leadership by guiding your team and representing the QMS Media brand with professionalism and integrity. In addition you will also:
Lead strategy execution and coordinate cross-department efforts to ensure sales KPIs are achieved
Develop and manage strategic business plans for the direct market to drive revenue growth, retention, and new business.
Optimise pricing, negotiations, and sales processes to maximise profitability across QMS Media’s
Build strong client partnerships, acting as the key point of contact to deliver exceptional service.
Deliver accurate weekly and quarterly revenue forecasts, performance reporting, and variance analysis.
Monitor market trends, manage repeat clients, and address revenue gaps with corrective actions.
Deliver targeted, on-brand client events within budget.
Set KPIs, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
Lead, support, and empower the team to achieve goals.
What we’re looking for:
Preferred degree in business, media, communications, or other related fields
Previous experience in a similar role, including media sales, out of home, people leadership or agency
Senior sales expertise with strong negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills.
Experienced in leading, coaching, and motivating high-performance teams.
Specialist OOH product knowledge and ability to deliver client-focused solutions.
Skilled in managing key accounts and understanding their strategic value.
