Gaval Community Services is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and compassionate Volunteer Activities Host to support adults living with disabilities at our Elizabeth Grove centre.
This is a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful connections while helping participants enjoy fun, engaging, and inclusive activities that enhance their wellbeing and quality of life.
About the Role
As an Activities Host, you will help create a positive and enjoyable environment by assisting with a variety of activities, including:
- Arts and crafts
- Board games and group activities
- Music and karaoke sessions
- Gardening
- Light exercise and walking groups
- Movie afternoons
- BBQs and social gatherings
- Community outings (where applicable)
- Celebrating birthdays and special events
You don't need previous experience—just a positive attitude, patience, and a genuine desire to support people with disabilities.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
- A passion for making a positive impact in the community
Requirements
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Working With Children Check (if required)
- Current First Aid and CPR (desirable but not essential)
- Valid Driver's Licence (desirable)
