Mobile Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Subcontractor)
Your Fleet Elite is a growing fleet management company that supports commercial fleets across Sydney. We work with trucks, trailers, vans and light commercial vehicles, helping businesses minimise downtime through reliable maintenance and repairs.
We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join us as a subcontractor on an ongoing basis.
The Role
You will attend customer sites across Sydney to carry out maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on heavy vehicles. Work will be allocated based on your availability, with the opportunity for consistent ongoing work as our client base grows.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy vehicles and trailers
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Perform roadside breakdown repairs where required
- Complete brake, suspension, steering and driveline repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Complete service reports and communicate findings with our operations team
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service
Requirements
- Qualified Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic
- Current Australian driver’s licence (HR licence preferred but not essential)
- ABN and ability to work as a subcontractor
- Own tools and reliable service vehicle
- Public Liability Insurance
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Excellent communication and time management
- Ability to work independently

Preferred Experience
- Heavy vehicle servicing and repairs
- Mobile mechanic experience
- Experience working on European and Japanese trucks
- Auto electrical or air conditioning experience is highly regarded but not essential
