FLASHING FABRICATOR / TRUCK DRIVER / ALL-ROUNDER
Roofing Industry | Full-Time Position
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on and motivated all-rounder to join our team.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality work and is happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing. The successful applicant will work across our flashing fabrication, deliveries and general yard/warehouse operations.
About the Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating and folding roof flashings and custom sheet-metal products
- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials accurately
- Loading and unloading roofing materials
- Driving company trucks to deliver roofing materials to building sites and customers
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and professionally
- Assisting with loading orders and preparing materials for upcoming jobs
- General yard, warehouse and workshop duties
- Keeping the workshop, yard and vehicles clean and organised
- Assisting the roofing team where required
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers and builders
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Practical and mechanically minded
- Confident using hand tools and workshop equipment
- Able to read measurements and work accurately
- Physically fit and comfortable handling roofing materials
- A confident and responsible truck driver
- Well presented and professional when dealing with customers
- Able to work independently but also as part of a team
- Someone who takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to help wherever required
Essential Requirements
- Current HR truck licence (or appropriate licence for the vehicles being driven)
- Current driver's licence
- Good understanding of workplace safety
- Previous experience in sheet-metal fabrication, roofing, building supplies, deliveries or a similar trade environment is highly regarded
