About the Position
Harold Painting & Decorating is seeking an experienced and reliable Painter to join our
team in Brisbane, Queensland. This is a full-time, permanent position offering ongoing
work across residential and commercial painting projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, filling holes and cracks, and applying
primers.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray
equipment.
- Mix and match paints to achieve required colours and finishes.
- Protect surrounding areas using drop sheets and masking materials.
- Erect and work safely on ladders and scaffolding where required.
- Carry out interior and exterior painting work to a high standard.
- Maintain tools, equipment and a safe work environment.
- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent trade qualification.
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience as a Painter.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation and paint application techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
Annual Earnings
AUD $75000– $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and
experience.
