Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co prides itself in providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere and ambience which is dedicated to our African heritage whilst still having reference to Australian surroundings.
The Meat & Wine Co Southbank is looking for an experienced and dedicated Chefs who are committed to exceeding our customers' expectations whilst leading a professional and hardworking team.
To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
- 1 + years of proven kitchen experience in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Prepare all dishes to The Meat & Wine Co standard
- A relevant Diploma qualification OR at least 1-3 years of relevant employment experience
- Experience cooking over a char-grill essential
- Advanced understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its service
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Effective communication skills to maintain a secure and friendly working environment
- Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards
- Ensure compliance with all OHS legislation (act and regulation)
- Ability to work over a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, nights and public holidays.
