ABOUT THE ROLE
Mort & Co Transport have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Transport Allocator to join our team. The Transport Allocator (Livestock) supports the Manager (Transport) to coordinate and drive specialist haulage services in an efficient and sustainable manner toward budgeted financial outcomes, including coordination of livestock logistics activities within Mort & Co Transport. The position will work to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role you will have the ability to:
- Coordinate logistics, bookings and accounts for the mechanical branch of Mort & Co Transport.
- Ensure that all operations are performed safely and efficiently, and programs are maintained to ensure safe work practices in compliance with company policy and procedure, industry regulations and legislative requirements.
- Provide operational support to the Manager (Livestock Logistics) in managing Livestock Logistics activities of Mort & Co Transport.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring timely accessibility and high-quality data input, and promote awareness of the importance of accurate record keeping in line with Mort & Co policy and procedure.
- Promote and support the Mort & Co brand through participation in local community support programs, ensuring business is completed professionally and ethically.
- Undertake all operations safely and in accordance with Mort & Co Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
- Conduct all business activities professionally, ethically and in line with the Mort & Co values and commitments.
You will have:
- Relevant experience in transport and logistics operations
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Well established leadership and communication skills.
- Computer literacy and good organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the management team and demonstrate a united approach to leadership.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle stress and manage time well.
- Safety focus.
