To oversee and site manage all Capital Projects, from HSEQ through to QA compliance, run daily prestart meetings, Sub-Contactor management, Daily inspections and scope/review work when required.

We are on the hunt for an experience Project Supervisor to join us, based from our Port Augusta office. Their role will be to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule and to the specified quality by coordinating onsite construction activities, supervising the Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) workforce, plant resources and subcontract teams to achieve effective performance from all parties. Supervise the delivery of the Annual Renewal Works Program (ARWP) and Minor Capital Works (MCWs) and specific maintenance services.
Please note that in this role, you will be primarily travelling within regional South Australia (company vehicle provided).

Key Responsibilities:

Promotes a positive safety and environmental culture.

Ensures compliance with all Service Streams management system procedures including Plant Operator Assessments, verifies Daily Checklists, Weekly Checklists and works with Permits where required.

Deliver Toolboxes, briefings, and findings as and when required.

Participates in the preparation of Safe Work Method Statements in conjunction with work crews and ensures that all controls are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed.

Immediately acts on the resolution of issues as directed by the Delivery Managers and HSEQ personnel

Responds to ongoing communication with project personnel to control and anticipate issues.

Monitors plant safety and identifies safety hazards in respect of plant.

Ensures all personnel are inducted and have been Toolboxed in the Safe Work Method Statements and have participated in a meeting for that activity.

Demonstrates an understanding of the process of incident prevention and incident reporting and participates in incident investigation process.

Reports all incidents to Management in line with procedures set down and provides for the appropriate support to manage such.
o Encourages and educates people to report potential safety hazards.
o Leads by example by meeting their own safety KPIs whilst ensuring project team member(s) and subcontractor supervisor(s) are also meeting their safety KPIs. -
Ensures that all construction works undertaken and completed are in conformance with the specification and relevant standards and Code of Practice.

Checks to ensure whatever actions are required under Hold and Witness Points have been performed prior to commencing work.

Demonstrates an awareness of cost allowances prior to commencing activities.

Keeps accurate site records in order to accurately calculate and verify costs with regards to variations and claims.

Maintains co-operative working relationships with all parties particularly DIT representatives and takes prompt and effective action on all DIT directions were directed by the Delivery Managers.
About You:
-
Demonstrated significant number of years’ experience in construction or services industry and safety management in a major subcontractor management role.

Minimum of 5 years experience in a roads infrastructure environment (open for discussion based on experience)

Minimum of 5 years experience in managing people and/or multiple stakeholders (open for discussion based on experience)

Cert I,II or III in Construction (desirable but not mandatory)

Current driver’s license
