EWP Operators - Night Shift Tunnel Closures (M8, Sydney)
RS Conform is seeking experienced
EWP Operators for upcoming motorway tunnel closures in South-West Sydney. Short, well-paid night-shift work supporting a Tier 1 infrastructure project.
The Work
You'll be operating
scissor lifts and knuckle (boom) lifts under 11m inside the tunnels during scheduled night closures, working as part of a coordinated crew alongside on-site supervisors.
Shift dates (night shifts):
- Mon 10 - Thu 13 August 2026 — 4 nights
- Sun 23 - Tue 25 August 2026 — 3 nights
Nightly pattern:
- Pre-start 21:00hrs at MOC 1 (off the M5E, King Georges Rd WB off-ramp)
- Enter tunnel from approx. 22:15-22:45hrs once the closure is called
- Pack-up in tunnel generally around 04:00hrs (Paid for 10)
Transport to the work zones (EB and WB) is provided - crew travel together from the pre-start point.
What You Need (Mandatory)
- EWPA Yellow Card - Boom & Scissor operation (under 11m). Note: a High Risk Work Licence is not required for units under 11m, but is well regarded.
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Working at Heights ticket (within 2 years of completion)
- Ability to be inducted through Rapid (Egis) and Permitted (Transurban) prior to the closures - you must be able to clear these to enter site
- Available for night shift work on the dates above
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow site safety procedures and supervisor direction
Highly Regarded
- Previous tunnel or motorway night-closure experience
- EWP rescue / emergency lower competency
- Construction / civil infrastructure background
- Own PPE (hi-vis, boots, hard hat)
- Rate: Night-shift penalty rates apply
- Type: Casual / short-term contract
- Location: M8 tunnels, South-West Sydney (pre-start MOC 1, King Georges Rd)
- Detailed run sheet with drop-off locations and supervisor contacts provided in the week before each closure
