About this opportunity

We're looking for a People Consultant to support the Senior People Partners and broader People & Workplace team in the delivery of cyclical activities and strategic people initiatives. This role delivers tailored people advice and solutions for people-related matters including performance and conduct and safety management issues. The role also works to provide methodical recommendations regarding job design, remuneration evaluation and workforce planning/management.
In this role you will:
- Conduct employee investigations that aligns with employment legislation and Aware policy and practices.
- Build project artefacts and best fit solutions including communication and change materials, determining suitable methods, approaches and data points.
- Provide tailored advice regarding standard procedures and / or interpretation of policies and employment instruments / contracts.
- Coach leaders on the build of performance improvement plans.
- Own the process to roll-out People BAU cyclical activities to the designated portfolios e.g. performance reviews and talent reviews.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Hands-on experience in ER/Case Management (Essential)
- Understanding of current HR practices, trends, direction and methodologies including Ability to interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment legislation.
- Demonstrated ability using a range of written and verbal communication tools to capture insights and recommendations to inform, influence and build rapport with stakeholders.
- Experience in a broad HR generalist role that has required a consultative approach and delivering wide-ranging HR activities and initiatives.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, co-operating and collaborating with colleagues to meet overall business objectives.
- Tertiary HR (or similar) qualifications (Desirable)
