This is an opportunity to contribute to reforms that use NSW Government purchasing settings to support better digital services and broader social and economic outcomes for NSW.
Digital Strategy, Sourcing and Assurance in the Department of Customer Service supports the policy, guidance and governance settings that shape how agencies engage with ICT and digital suppliers. The team works to make these settings clearer, more effective and better aligned to all-of-government priorities, including ICT and digital policy priorities, responsible supplier engagement and public value.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing evidence-based policy advice that supports digital reform, responsible supplier engagement and broader public value outcomes.
- Supporting reforms that improve how government uses ICT and digital purchasing settings to promote consistent, effective and outcome-focused delivery.
- Preparing clear guidance, briefings, correspondence and decision material for a range of audiences.
- Building and maintaining relationships with agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support consistent application of policy and guidance.
- Undertaking research and analysis to identify risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Contributing to team planning, project delivery and continuous improvement in a changing digital policy and reform environment.
About you:
We are looking for a policy professional with strong analytical, written communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be able to work with complexity, exercise sound judgement and prepare clear, practical advice for senior decision-makers.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in policy development, implementation, governance, reform delivery or related public policy work.
- Strong research, analysis and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- An interest in digital reform, public value and all-of-government policy implementation.
