Barista / Café All-Rounder

About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a positive team culture.
As a Café All-Rounder, you will assist with coffee preparation, customer service, food handling, cleaning, and general café operations to ensure a welcoming experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a friendly café atmosphere.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and serving.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café, including dining areas and equipment.
- Replenish stock and assist with inventory management.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Open and close the café as required.
- Complete opening procedures, including preparing the coffee machine, setting up displays, and ensuring the café is ready for service.
- Support team members across all areas of café operations.
Skills & Experience
- Previous barista experience preferred.
- Ability to produce consistent, quality coffee.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
- Current Food Handling Certificate (preferred but not essential).
Availability Requirements
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends as required.
- Must be able to commence shifts as early as 5:30 AM on some days to complete café opening duties.
- Reliable transport is essential to ensure punctual arrival for early morning shifts.
