ROLE OVERVIEW
The Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and technical servicing of forklifts and material handling equipment. The role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.It involves both in houseandon site service work, including scheduled maintenance, breakdown response, and customer support.
The position requires technical competence, attention to detail, and a responsible approach to customer service and safety, in line with company and manufacturer standards.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform PDIs, routine maintenance, and servicing of forklifts and other equipment.
· Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, from minor adjustments to major overhauls, working independently or with guidance as required.
· Diagnose and resolve equipment faults efficiently and accurately.
· Provide professional service and support to customers on-site and in the workshop.
· Conduct field service and breakdown repairs using the company service vehicle.
· Complete service documentation and job reports accurately and on time.
· Follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s equipment range.
In addition to the duties outlined above, you may also be required to perform such other duties as directed by your supervisor or management provided these are within your competency or training
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support team members and share technical knowledge when required.
· Assist in installing and commissioning new equipment.
· Participate in product and technical training.
· Help improve service quality and efficiency.
· Keep the workshop, service vehicle, and tools clean and organised.
· Report safety issues or equipment faults promptly.
· Maintain a professional attitude in all customer and site interactions.
Required Qualifications:
· Current valid driver’s licence.
· Forklift licence (preferred)
· Valid work rights in Australia
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
