About the role
As Coordinator of our Family Wellbeing Support Service, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support to infants, children, young people, and their families. You will provide leadership across service coordination, intake, case planning, and program delivery, ensuring responsive and effective support pathways that promote stability, wellbeing, and independence for families.
You’ll lead and supervise a small team, supporting their professional growth while fostering a collaborative and reflective team culture. You will also contribute to service improvement through stakeholder engagement, community collaboration, and participation in sector networks and events.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based between our Mirrabooka and West Perth offices. Travel between these offices is a requirement of this position.
About you
You’re an experienced and grounded human services professional who thrives working with young people and families navigating complex circumstances. You enjoy variety in your work, can adapt to changing needs, and bring a calm, solutions-focused approach to challenging situations.
In addition, you will also possess:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant Human Services field (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in case management with young people and families, particularly those experiencing complex needs or at risk of homelessness.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and evidence-based approaches
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the developmental needs of infants, children, and young people across a range of ages and stages, including the impact of trauma, family dynamics, and social factors on wellbeing and development.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising staff.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
