What You’ll Drive
The Payroll Compliance Lead provides senior specialist oversight of payroll compliance, assurance and remediation across TAFE SA. The role delivers expert advice, strengthens governance and controls, leads audits and risk-based reviews, and reports to senior stakeholders to support legislative compliance, payroll integrity, transparency and continuous improvement.
The Skills You Bring
- Extensive experience leading payroll compliance, assurance or audit activities in a large, complex and regulated organisation, including identifying risks, control gaps, systemic issues and sustainable remediation options.
- Strong expertise in interpreting and applying payroll legislation, industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, governance requirements, risk frameworks and audit controls to support public sector accountability and compliance.
- Highly developed analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to investigate complex payroll matters, prepare executive-level advice, influence senior stakeholders and work independently under broad policy direction.
What You Need to Know
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
