Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our dynamic team at HMPS, based at Adelaide Airport. This is an exciting opportunity for a project management professional to lead the successful delivery of bespoke automation and materials handling projects in a permanent, full-time position.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple customer projects from project initiation through to final delivery. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Service and external stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with customer expectations.

Your duties will include:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of multiple customer projects, ensuring agreed scope, budget, timelines and quality standards are achieved.
- Developing, maintaining and communicating project plans and schedules to ensure projects remain on track.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams, including Applications, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Service and external suppliers, to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, managing issues and implementing mitigation strategies to minimise project impacts.
- Managing project budgets, forecasting costs and ensuring financial performance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular project updates, managing expectations and building strong working relationships.
- Facilitating interdepartmental project meetings, tracking actions and ensuring key deliverables are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Managing project scope, variations and change requests, ensuring all changes are appropriately documented, approved and communicated.
- Ensuring project documentation, reports and customer handover documentation are completed accurately and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting the coordination of installation, commissioning and project completion activities by ensuring the appropriate technical resources are available and project milestones are achieved.
- Leading project close-out activities, including final documentation, financial reconciliation, lessons learned and customer sign-off.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management processes, systems and governance.
What you'll bring:
- Qualifications in Project Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects
- Strong project planning, scheduling and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience using Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing project budgets, schedules and contractual obligations.
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and build positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required for project meetings and project delivery activities.
