Your opportunity:
As part of the Corporate Services team in each school, you will work collaboratively across both schools to continue to shape and develop a positive safety culture, support staff wellbeing, and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Your work will help create safe and supportive environments that enable every staff member and student to succeed.
Reporting to school leadership and working collaboratively across both school communities, the Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator will provide expert advice, support, and coordination in workplace health, safety, wellbeing, risk management, and rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
Working across established schools, you will help improve systems and practices that promote physically and psychologically safe workplaces while supporting continuous improvement in health and safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clear, timely and confidential advice to school leadership and staff on health, safety and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with regional and corporate teams to strengthen local practices and ensure compliance with the HSWMS.
Assist with audits, inspections, emergency preparedness, ensuring corrective actions and hazard controls are effectively implemented at nominated school/s.
Support ill or injured staff through early intervention, maintaining regular contact, and coordinating rehabilitation and return to work processes.
