About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on hospitality professional to lead our front-of-house team as our Restaurant Manager. Full-time sponsorship is available for the right candidate who meets the skill requirements, however, Australian workers are preferred.
As the Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the venue, ensuring our high requirements’ are met while fostering a positive, cohesive team culture. You will be responsible for driving venue performance, managing staff, and delivering an unforgettable, personalised experience to our guests.
This is a full-time position that will require flexibility and weekend work, in accordance with business demands.
Key Requirements:
- At least three years’ experience in a senior leadership role within a high-end bar/restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team (both FOH and BOH) with a "one-team" mentality.
- Strong shift management skills, including leading diverse teams
- A passion for delivering tailored, high-quality customer service and building strong rapport with regular guests.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Exceptional guest relations skills with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with rostering, payroll, and inventory management.
- The ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
Tasks and Duties
- Manage and oversee the restaurant’s day-to-day operations.
- Recruit, train, supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including preparing rosters and allocating duties.
- Monitor the quality of food, beverages and customer service.
- Manage customer bookings, enquiries, feedback and complaints.
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff regarding menus, food availability, dietary requirements and service.
- Monitor stock levels and order food, beverages and restaurant supplies.
- Manage budgets, operating costs, sales, cash handling and financial records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and responsible service of alcohol requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and service providers regarding deliveries, pricing and maintenance.
- Monitor restaurant performance and make operational and service improvements.
