About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to become the technical owner of our embedded hardware platforms.
Our products are industrial IoT devices deployed on electrical power networks, operating 24/7 in remote environments where reliability is critical and field maintenance is difficult.
Working closely with our firmware, FPGA and product design engineers, you will lead the technical review of hardware developed by our external design partners, drive hardware quality and reliability, and ensure every hardware revision is robust before release to manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical quality and reliability of hardware platforms.
- Review schematics, PCB layouts and design changes from external design partners.
- Lead hardware architecture, design reviews and technical risk assessments.
- Review power supply, analog, protection and mixed-signal circuit designs.
- Define hardware verification, validation and reliability test plans.
- Lead board bring-up, debugging and field failure investigations.
- Support manufacturing, production and engineering change management.
- Develop and improve hardware design, review and release processes.
- Collaborate closely with firmware, production and product design teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or higher.
- 8+ years' experience developing embedded electronic products.
- Strong analog and digital circuit design experience.
- Experience with switching power supplies, regulator design and power integrity.
- Good understanding of PCB design, EMC/EMI and Design for Manufacture (DFM).
- Experience supporting products from design through production and field deployment.
