About the Role:
Opportunity to join the Eastern Youth services team on a casual basis to provide additional support to clients in the Lead Tenant program. Focus on development of Life and Living skills, routine setting, support to attend external appointments, transport and other day to day tasks.
How you’ll Make your Mark:
- Engage with young people over the phone and in person
- Act as a respectful and positive role model for young people
- Use knowledge of Best Interest Principles as outlined within the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
- Put skills and knowledge gained from a minimum of a Certificate IV in Community Services or Child, Youth and Family Intervention or Youth Work or similar
The skills you will use day to day:
- Working with young people across ages.
- Commitment to the principles and practice of quality care and to promote autonomy and self-determination for clients.
- Ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a team, to meet program goals and objectives.
- Appropriate verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly effective communication skills.
