Chiosco by Ormeggio is a vibrant waterfront Italian trattoria located at d’Albora Marina in Mosman, brought to life by the team behind the acclaimed Two-Hatted Ormeggio at The Spit.

We’re looking for an experienced Casual Pasta Chef / Chef de Partie with a genuine passion for Italian cuisine to join our kitchen team.

The Role
You’ll be an important part of a fast-paced kitchen delivering consistently high-quality Italian food across à la carte dining, group events, takeaway and boat catering.
We’re particularly keen to meet chefs with strong experience in fresh pasta and Italian cooking, who are confident working independently while contributing positively to the wider kitchen team.
As we trade seven days a week, flexibility to work across a mixture of weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Chef de Partie or pasta-focused role
- Formal commercial cookery qualification
- Strong experience with Italian cuisine
- Demonstrated experience preparing and cooking fresh pasta
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to stay organised and composed during busy services
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Genuine passion for food, produce and Italian hospitality
- Completion of the NSW Food Handler Basics training
- Highly Regarded
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Experience across hot section and grill
- Strong pasta fresca skills
- Experience preparing Italian seafood dishes
- Experience in quality, high-volume restaurant kitchens
What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes consistently throughout service
- Working across the pasta section and supporting other sections as required
- Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation, flavour and consistency
- Assisting with preparation, recipe development and menu implementation
- Supporting and sharing knowledge with junior kitchen team members
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation
- Minimising waste and contributing to effective food and labour cost control
- Working closely with the wider Chiosco kitchen team to deliver smooth, energetic services
