About the role
We are hiring a junior Sales Executive across the Dandenong, Braeside and surrounding industrial corridor on a 6 month fixed-term contract, with strong potential for permanent conversion based on performance.
This role is built for someone early in their career, hungry, and ready to prove themselves in business development. The catch: you need an existing network in food manufacturing, processing or pick-packing.
This is not a role for a generalist sales graduate. It is a role for someone who has already spent time in or around the food manufacturing industry (in recruitment, operations, coordination, internal HR or similar) and is now ready to step into sales. Your network is the asset. We will train you on the rest.
Key responsibilities
- Win new labour hire clients in food manufacturing, processing and pick-pack operations
- Open doors using your existing food industry contacts
- Get on site with operations, production and HR managers to assess workforce needs
- Learn to prepare and negotiate rate cards, proposals and service agreements. We will coach you through this
- Manage a defined territory and deliver against agreed sales targets
- Work closely with internal recruitment and operations teams to ensure strong service delivery
About you (essential)
- Existing relationships in food manufacturing, processing or pick-packing. This is non-negotiable
- Hungry, competitive and willing to back yourself in a commission-driven role
- Some prior experience in sales, recruitment, account management or another customer-facing role
- Comfortable on a factory floor and confident dealing with operations people
- Ability to work autonomously and own your results
Nice to have
- Prior experience as a recruitment consultant, internal recruiter, account coordinator or BD support in labour hire or staffing
- Familiarity with food safety, OH&S and compliance requirements relevant to food manufacturing sites
- Understanding of casual workforce models and Award wages
- Proficiency with CRM systems
What is on offer
- Base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 plus super depending on experience
- Trailing commission for up to 24 months on gross profit from clients you introduce. Uncapped
- 6 month fixed-term contract with strong potential for permanent conversion
