What you'll be doing
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist who is passionate about developing people, improving services and delivering exceptional patient outcomes. You will provide strategic and operational leadership of clinical pharmacy services while maintaining an advanced clinical role within the service.
Lead the delivery, coordination and governance of clinical pharmacy services across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals.
Supervise, mentor and support intern, Grade 1 and Grade 2 pharmacists through performance management, competency assessments and professional development.
Coordinate clinical rostering, workforce planning and operational activities to ensure safe, efficient and equitable service delivery.
Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, research and innovation initiatives that enhance pharmacy practice and patient outcomes.
Maintain an advanced clinical workload, including ward-based services and participation in weekend and on-call rosters as required.

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 3 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated high-level communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Extensive experience in clinical pharmacy practice within a hospital setting, including provision of complex patient care.
Demonstrated advanced therapeutic knowledge and the ability to apply clinical judgement and initiative to deliver evidence-based pharmaceutical care.
Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines in a complex clinical environment.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, with a high level of motivation and the ability to lead and implement practice change.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervision, mentorship, performance management, and training of pharmacists and intern pharmacists, including competency assessment (e.g., ClinCATs) and Professional Development Reviews (PDRs).
Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, and safe medication practices.
Willingness and ability to participate in weekend and on-call services in accordance with BMDH Pharmacy Department rosters.
