ARI Garage Doors & Gates Pty Ltd is a Queensland-based specialist in garage door installation, supply and servicing. We work across residential and commercial projects, delivering high-quality products and technical services to a growing client base. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate our business operations.
The Role
The Operations Manager will plan, organise, direct and coordinate the specialist operational functions of the business. This is a senior managerial position requiring demonstrated expertise in operational leadership, contractor coordination, project delivery and financial management. The role does not involve the routine performance of technical or installation work.
Key Duties
- Plan, direct and coordinate day-to-day business operations across all installation and service functions.
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including scheduling, field technician deployment and client liaison.
- Manage and monitor the performance of field technicians, subcontractors and service personnel.
- Direct procurement of materials and equipment; manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms.
- Monitor operational budgets, analyse business performance and prepare reports for Director review.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and business profitability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation and implement risk management procedures.
Skills and Experience Required
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with at least 12 months relevant experience; or a minimum of 3 years of relevant specialist operational management experience.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, concurrent operational activities requiring independent judgement.
- Strong workforce leadership, contractor management and performance oversight skills.
- Sound financial, budgeting and commercial management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to develop and implement operational policies and drive continuous improvement.
