Daydream Island Resort is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Storeperson to join our team in Daydream Island. This part-time position, located within the FIN - Stores department, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient warehousing, storage, and distribution operations of the resort. As a Storeperson, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Accurately recording all items received into the inventory management system
- Organising and storing materials in designated storage areas
- Picking and packing orders for internal departments as per requisitions
- Performing regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the storage areas
- Assisting with regular stocktaking activities
- Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Previous experience in a warehousing or storeroom environment would be advantageous. Skills and Experiences:
About you
- Operational knowledge of hospitality (hotels, resorts, restaurants) will be an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous forklift, warehouse and delivery experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including weekend work or public holidays during peak season
- Current QLD C class driver's license essential
- Forklift license highly regarded.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
This is a live off-island position. Successful applicants will be required to arrange accommodation in Airlie Beach.
