About the role
With strong technical expertise and a commitment to operational excellence, you will help deliver secure, reliable and high-performing infrastructure platforms across WesCEF. You will design, administer, and support the organisation’s compute, storage, virtualisation, messaging, and backup infrastructure services, ensuring systems remain secure, available, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Take a proactive role in the administration, operation, and continual improvement of infrastructure systems and services across the organisation.
Monitor system performance, capacity and health to improve availability, resilience and operational efficiency.
Maintain system security and supportability through patching, upgrades and lifecycle management activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents and technical issues affecting infrastructure platforms and services.
Act as a technical lead representing the Infrastructure and Systems function on technology and business projects.
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions to prevent the recurrence of issues.
Develop automation and self-service capabilities to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability.
Collaborate effectively with IT teams, vendors and business stakeholders to deliver reliable technology outcomes.
Participate in the Infrastructure and Systems on-call roster, providing after-hours support for business-critical systems and infrastructure emergencies.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or industry certifications.
Demonstrated experience as a senior infrastructure, systems administration or engineering role.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving-skills.
Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies including VMware, NetApp and Pure Storage platforms, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and Microsoft EntraID, Citrix Virtual Apps, NetScaler ADC, Veeam Backup, and endpoint management technologies.
Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in technical and non-technical fields.
Adaptable and resilient in working in a fast-paced environment with complex business needs.
