Disability Support Worker – Parkinson’s Experience

About the Role
AUHES is looking for a caring and experienced Disability Support Worker to support NDIS participants, particularly individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and daily living support
- Assist with mobility and fall prevention
- Support medication prompting/administration as per care plans
- Assist with exercises and therapy activities
- Support community access and appointments
- Assist with meals and household tasks
- Complete progress notes and report changes or concerns
- Follow NDIS and AUHES policies and care plans
Requirements
- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care
- Experience supporting clients with Parkinson’s Disease – essential
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Good communication and a caring, person-centred approach
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle preferred
- Personal Care
Client Preferences:
- Male Support Worker
- 30 years old and above
- Fluent and clear English
- Strong communication skills
- Within 5–30 minutes of the client
