The Business
Genus Pole Foundations Australia Pty Ltd (Genus PFA) is a subsidiary of the ASX-listed GenusPlus Group (GNP) and a market leader in asset inspection and reinstatement services for utility providers and the private sector. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, we are expanding our team.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager or State Manager, the Work Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, scheduling and driving the delivery of field-based works to meet client expectations, contractual requirements, KPIs and productivity targets.
Acting as a key link between management, field crews, subcontractors and clients, you will coordinate resources and workloads, monitor progress, resolve operational issues and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who is more than just a scheduler – a proactive operational coordinator who can manage competing priorities, identify issues early and take ownership of getting things done.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate and schedule daily and forward works for field crews and subcontractors
- Allocate work based on crew capability, location, priorities, client requirements and available resources
- Maintain visibility of workloads, crew locations, capacity and work status
- Monitor daily progress and proactively identify delays, constraints and resource requirements
- Adjust schedules and resources as required to maintain productivity and meet client requirements
- Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation, including personnel, vehicles, plant, equipment, materials, travel, accommodation, training and site access
- Maintain regular communication with field crews and subcontractors to monitor progress and resolve operational issues
- Ensure crews have the information, documentation, resources and materials required to complete scheduled works
- Maintain accurate schedules, job files, work packs, project registers and operational records
- Monitor and report on project status, progress, productivity and performance
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to support contract delivery
- Coordinate training, licences, competencies and other compliance requirements
- Support onboarding and mobilisation of new team members and contractors
- Coordinate fleet, plant, equipment and other operational resources
- Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and other frontline SHEQ activities
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling, productivity and operational processes
Essential Criteria
- Qualifications in Business, Project Administration, Operations Management, Office Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project administration, scheduling, operational coordination, supervision or a similar role
- Experience coordinating field-based teams, work programs or service delivery activities
- Experience scheduling and coordinating multiple crews and competing work priorities
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience using client scheduling, reporting or collaboration platforms
- Current National Police Clearance
- Valid Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel to depots, worksites or other locations as required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and commitment to safe work practices
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in utilities, electrical maintenance, construction and/or resources
- Qualification or experience in Asset Inspection and Testing
- Experience with EQL FMC or similar client scheduling platforms
- Experience coordinating fleet, plant and equipment
- HR or MR Driver’s Licence
- White Card and First Aid Certificate
- Experience managing subcontractors and working within contractual KPIs
